Genuine Wool Melton
24-oz wool melton, milled and dyed to your school color — never a poly-blend stand-in. The fabric holds a crease, sheds a Texas thunderstorm, and wears in instead of wearing out.
Every Alpha Jackets order moves through a disciplined five-chapter production cycle: a design brief, unlimited mockups, material sourcing, cut-and-build, and a final QA before a single jacket ships. No black boxes. No hand-offs between strangers. One named owner who answers the phone from your first email to the day the cartons land on your loading dock.
Each phase below has a named owner on our side — your account manager — and a defined deliverable on yours. The day windows are not estimates; they are the production calendar we hit on 98.4% of orders shipped in the last twenty-four months.
Days 1–3 · Owned by your account manager
A 30-minute call to capture the school's crest, the team's colorway, the brand's pantone, the program's sponsorship block, the season's deadline. You leave that call with a written brief, a fabric card, and a sketch direction — the document your committee can vote on before we draw a single stitch.
Days 3–7 · Owned by an in-house designer
One of our fourteen in-house designers renders flat sketches, front and back, in the actual chenille and leather tones you've chosen. Leather is matched to a swatch, not a hex code. Chenille letterforms are digitized and mocked at the size they will sit on the chest. Nothing moves to production until a human — you — signs.
Days 5–10 · Owned by the materials lead
Genuine wool melton dyed to your school color. Cowhide leather sleeves cut from the same hide lot so grain and tone match across the run. Chenille twilled on hand-cranked looms for the letters and the year bar. Every swatch photographed, archived to your order file, and held against a master sample before cutting begins.
Days 8–18 · Owned by the floor supervisor
Panels cut, quilted linings set, leather sleeves stitched, snaps and zippers hand-set, chenille patches tacked and embroidered, woven labels heat-seated into the neck. Every garment passes through five stations, each with a checklist that gets scanned and time-stamped. Your account manager can read your order's exact station on any given morning.
Days 18–21 (or up to Day 35 for 500+ units) · Owned by the QA lead
Every jacket is inspected stitch-by-stitch against your signed proof, individually polybagged, sized-sorted, and packed into reinforced cartons with a packing list your athletic director can actually read. Tracking is forwarded the moment the truck leaves our loading dock, with a named driver and a delivery window you can plan a banquet around.
Lead times start at 14 business days for orders up to 500 units and 28–35 days for 500–2,000 units. Same-day or 48-hour production is not a service we offer on bulk programs — the craft is the lead time.
We do not run a ticket queue. We do not pass your order from an inside sales rep to a project coordinator to a production scheduler to a shipping clerk. The person who picks up the phone when you call about a sleeve length on Day 4 is the same person who forwards you the dispatch photo on Day 21.
That is a deliberate cost. It means we staff nine account managers for the orders we take, and we turn away the orders we cannot staff. It means your account manager has read your brief twice, has your school's crest in her camera roll, and knows your athletic director by name. It is also why 93% of our clients reorder — because the second order is a phone call, not a重新协商.
Our account managers are employees, not contractors. They sit in the San Antonio studio at 422 W Houston St, ten feet from the design team and a video call away from the production floor. When they tell you a chenille letterform needs another day to twill properly, you can hear the loom in the background.
We back that single-owner model with a 100% satisfaction rematch-or-refund guarantee on every order, regardless of size. If a jacket arrives that does not match the proof you signed, we remake it or we refund it — your account manager decides on the call, not a committee.

Lead time is a function of material, not overhead. We do not cut corners on the inputs, because every shortcut shows up in a five-year-old jacket. Below: the three components that define a real letterman, and the standards we hold them to.
24-oz wool melton, milled and dyed to your school color — never a poly-blend stand-in. The fabric holds a crease, sheds a Texas thunderstorm, and wears in instead of wearing out.
Full-grain cowhide, cut from a single hide lot per order so grain and tone match across a 500-unit run. Hand-stitched at the cuff, not glued, and lined through the sleeve for a clean break at the elbow.
Letters and year bars twilled on hand-cranked looms, then tacked and embroidered onto the body. Sublimated prints sit flat and pixelate under a phone flash; chenille stands three millimeters proud and gets better with wear.
Every order also ships with complimentary woven-label branding, individual polybagging, and digital proofing. No setup fees, no surprise line items.
Other figures we keep on hand for your RFP: 8,500+ unique clients served across all 50 US states and 41 countries; 380,000+ jackets shipped since 2008; 31,000 jackets manufactured on average per year; 2024 Apparel Magazine "Manufacturer of the Year"; 14 in-house designers and 9 dedicated account managers on staff.
"We needed 612 letterman jackets in time for homecoming — a date that does not move. Alpha put a single account manager on our order from the first sketch, and she walked us through every chapter of the timeline she was going to hit. On Day 9, she sent us a photograph of our chenille letters being stitched. On Day 18, the cartons were on a truck. The booster club has never signed off on a vendor faster, and we have already booked our 2026 order with the same person."
